Description
The Perry & Doreen Evans Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to students pursuing post-secondary education. First preference will be given to students residing in Clark County, with secondary preference given to students residing Codington County. Deadline to Apply: March 15 Scholarship Guidelines: 1. Student must be in their senior year of high school to apply. 2. Student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. 3. Student must plan to attend a post-secondary college, university, or technical college. 4. Student will be chosen by a scholarship selection committee. Requirements: 1. Four $5,000 renewable scholarships for a maximum of four years to students attending a college or university. Student must maintain and provide proof of a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and enrolled as a full-time student. It will be the student’s responsibility to provide documentation proving requirements are met (transcript and schedule) for the scholarship to be renewable each year by July 1 to info@sdcommunityfoundation.org 2. Four $2,500 renewable scholarships for a maximum of two years to students attending a technical college. Student must maintain and provide proof of a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (based on 4.0 scale) and enrolled as a full-time student. It will be the student’s responsibility to provide documentation proving requirements are met (transcript and schedule) for the scholarship to be renewable each year by July 1 to info@sdcommunityfoundation.org 3. Scholarship committee will consider student’s academic standing, character, extracurricular/community involvement, and/or employment history. Attachments: 1. Two letters of recommendation from non-family members regarding your character, dependability, and other distinguishing characteristics 2. School transcript 3. Provide a list of activities, community involvement, volunteer work, employment, church, leadership positions, recognitions, and honors 4. Letter of acceptance from college, university, or vocational school 5. Goal Statement (single spaced) What are your academic, career, and personal goals for the future?
